Time commitment for fostering ranges based on the age and medical needs of the cat but you are not required to foster for the entire time. If time is important to you, short term fostering options are available.
- 02
You will be expected to provide safe environment our cats and provide day-to-day care such as feeding and cleaning. For kittens under 6 weeks, day-to-day care may include daily weights to ensure they are thriving.

Yes! Supplies, along with any medical needs, are provided during the time you are fostering our cats.
- 04
Yes! We love new fosters - just let us know you’re a first-time foster and we’ll make sure to provide you with the appropriate support!
- 05
Yes! Please make sure to communicate your needs to our foster coordinator as it allows us to better match you with the perfect foster cat(s).
- 06
Yes, absolutely! However, we request that new fosters who have been in our care less than two weeks are kept separate from your pets until we are sure they have no communicable diseases. If you’re unable to keep foster separate for a short period of time (in a bathroom, popup, etc.) please let us know and we will try to accommodate.
- 07
Yes! After the two week precautionary isolation/quarantine is up and they receive a clean bill of health, your pets can interact with your foster.
- 08
We often enroll kitties with significant medical needs or special needs and we are always looking fosters to help care for these special kitties!
- 09
While we understand that emergencies happen, we always ask you give us as much notice as possible. We will always make room for our fosters to return to Kitty Bungalow.

Working all day? We would suggest a mama and kittens.
Work from home? You might be a better fit for medical kitties and younger kittens who require more attention.
The best thing you can do is communicate your needs with the foster coordinator to find your purrfect foster match!

If you're interested in adopting your foster, please fill out an application and email our adoptions team at adoptions@kittybungalow.org to let us know!

Nope! We have a dedicated adoptions team and an adoption center at NKLA where our cats go to get adopted. However, we always encourage you to let us know if you have interested parties.
